Logistics need a lot of work
COTA needs serious improvements for fan experience, but no doubt F1 racing was good. Parking direction feeding them was ridiculous, huge lots bottlenecked into one lane. Cutting down parking time to minutes not hours, you could learn a lot by attending NASCAR or other events where multiple lanes and multiple lot access are simultaneously utilized. Go to Indy and see how multiple gates get people in and out efficiently and quickly, same thing for Main Gate entry. Also the tunnel from the RV through the middle of the track could be further utilized for pedestrian access. There should be egress/ingress gates for each major section of grandstand seating. Hell you don't even need to leave Austin, go to a UT football game and see. Support racing was non existent, what happened to Porsche Cup or why not have World Challenge as support. Ferrari Challenge is not quality racing except for the top five. Lots of down time in between sessions, fans restless wanting more. Race was boring as Red Bull domination is taking away the possibility of a battle for the win. Hope for change for next year, nothing COTA can do about that except make sure we have decent support racing like inaugural year, this year was off the mark in that respect.
